Tree Adoption Program – Empowering Communities to Protect and Restore Aceh’s Forests

Welcome to a unique opportunity to safeguard Aceh’s forests alongside the local community. This initiative, launched by three pioneering Social Forestry Community Groups (KPS), marks the beginning of what we envision as a much larger movement, engaging more communities across Aceh. Together, these groups are dedicated to protecting over 1,200 hectares of vital forest area:

HKm Alue Simantok in Bireuen – 766 hectares
HKm Lindung Gampong Jaboi in Sabang – 88 hectares
HKm Batee Lhee Hijau in Bireuen – 368 hectares

Through this program, you can adopt a tree and actively support local forest patrols in their mission to prevent illegal logging and halt harmful land-clearing activities. This effort goes beyond protection: it’s about restoring life to previously impacted forests through replanting, which revitalizes the land with lush greenery and biodiversity.
